SAVALAN Limited Release Reserve wine won silver medal at MUNDUS VINI’2018

On 27 February 2018, the results of the 22nd international wine-tasting competition – Mundus Vini Spring Tasting 2018, which took place on February 20-25, 2018 in Neustadt (Germany), were announced.

The wine of Savalan brand is among the wines-winners of this major Spring Tasting 2018.

A silver medal was awarded to the aged dry red wine of the 2013 vintage – Savalan Limited Release Reserve. Wine is produced from the grape varieties Alicante Bouschet, Grenache and Syrah. It is made according to the Italian technology, sustained in French oak barrels to justify all expectations of high quality with its ruby color and rich structure with notes of red berries, cherries and spices.

This competition is one of the world’s most prestigious competitions, officially recognized by the European Union as an international quality mark and has the status of the Grand International Wine Award. 270 wine experts, respected authorities in the world of wine and winemaking compose the international jury. Drinks were assessed on a 100-point scale by studying the bouquet and taste of wine along with an assessment of its individual properties (visually, flavor, taste) in accordance with the standards of the International Organization of Vine and Wine (O.I.V.) and the International Union of Oenologists (U.I.O.E.). The medals were awarded based on the general opinion of all jury members. At the Mundus Vini Spring Tasting 2018, 6,770 wines from more than 150 countries were presented.
