The symposium was graced by distinguished figures among the People’s and Honored Artists of Azerbaijan, including notable masters, such as Aliyar Alimirzayev, Musayyib Amirov, Yelena Hagverdiyeva, and Vugar Muradov. Alongside them were emerging talents who have made significant strides in the art world, such as Elnur Babayev, Ilgar Tahiri, Aydin Asgarov, Bahruz Kangarli, Reyhan Aslanova, and Javid Ilham. This year’s event held particular significance with the participation of Bayram Salamov, a prominent Azerbaijani artist residing in Russia, and Vahid Novruzov, a faculty member at Turkey’s Çanakkale 18 Mart University.
Throughout the week, the artists delved into the historical sites of Gabala and drew inspiration from the region’s natural beauty and rich historical heritage. They also toured the SAVALAN – ASPI Winery, where they gained fascinating insights into the world of wine.
Inspired by the ancient monuments of Caucasian Albania and the enchanting nature of the region, the artists worked with great zeal, encapsulating the unity of culture, nature, and time in each stroke. Consequently, 30 unique artworks echoing the spirit and beauty of Azerbaijan were created.
The purpose of this symposium was not only to unite masters of the brush but also to promote the rich heritage and natural beauty of the region. The amalgamation of art and wine symbolized harmony between culture and nature, highlighting Azerbaijan’s tourism potential and celebrating the union of the two ancient arts of painting and winemaking. At the culmination of the symposium, certificates and diplomas were presented to each participant, creating a memento of cherished memories.
