DISTILLATION

Pear distillate is one of the oldest types of distillates in Azerbaijan and is produced through a very labour-intensive process. Pears are selected by hand at the peak of maturity to ensure maximum sugar content which allows for the production of a highly aromatic alcohol. Quality is ensured by careful selection of the fruits and a steam distillation method that preserves the subtle nuances of the pear. The distillate is then filtered over ice which removes impurities and results in a crystal clear final product.

RECOMMENDED WITH

Pairs well with many dishes, including: pilaf, lamb, poultry, and stewed vegetables. Can be enjoyed with a meal or as a digestif.
